As Facebook explains “Business Manager helps advertisers integrate Facebook marketing efforts across their business and with external partners”.
This platform is free to use and allows you to manage all of your Facebook marketing and advertising activities. You are also able to grant other users access and control to additional resources, such as your Instagram account and product catalogues. To get a better understanding, below are some of Facebook Business Managers’ key functions:
- Don’t Take It Personally
Your business activities are kept separate from your connected personal profile, so there is no need to worry about posting on the wrong account. This also helps you to focus on the attention your business deserves and not get distracted by your personal life or those distracting memes.
2. Run, Manage and Track
It provides a central place to set up, track and manage your Facebook ads clearly in its own dedicated dashboard.
3. Keep Control
It allows you to add an agency or marketing partner to help manage your business, without handing over ownership of your account and other associated assets.
Now you have an understanding of Facebook Business Manager and how this could be beneficial to your business, let’s go over how to set up a Facebook Business Manager account.

This is so Facebook is able to confirm your identity. But this shouldn’t stop you creating your Facebook Business Manager account as coworkers and partners won’t have access to your personal account or any personal information in that account.

Step 2. Enter your business name, your name and work email address you want to use to manage your Facebook Business Manager account, then click ‘Next’.
Step 3. We’re making progress. Now you want to enter your business details: address, phone number, and website. Make sure you don’t miss the question at the bottom, ensure you specify whether you’ll use this Business Manager account to either promote your own business or if you provide services to other businesses, in other words if you are an agency providing services and support for other businesses and will be managing numerous accounts. When you’re finished and happy, click ‘Submit’
Step 4. You’ve successfully reached the last step. Check your email inbox for a message with the subject line “Confirm your business email”. Make sure you check your inbox as well as any junk folders. Once you’ve located the email, you want to go ahead and click ‘Confirm Now’ within the message.
Once this is confirmed then congratulations! You’ve now got yourself a Facebook Business Manager account.
