The Challenge

This home improvement company are specialists in supplying luxury fitted bedrooms & kitchens and garden rooms in the North West of England and Wales. They pride themselves on being able to compete on prices with some of the biggest brands in the industry such as Wren, Sharps and Hammonds whilst also delivering on quality and craftsmanship. The business also offer a range of payment plans which works perfectly for their diverse range of customers.

As a growing business, the brand attempted to manage their own Facebook Campaigns in-house and after little success and £1000s of wasted spend – they needed a more reliable solution. During our initial analysis, we identified three key challenges;


The business was keen to work with an agency who were results driven and efficient. The Good Marketer were appointed due to our extensive experience of Facebook Advertising and our innovative audience targeting techniques which meant they could reach the right customers at the right cost.

To address the challenges we identified, we set upon extensively researching the target audience, we recognised that the majority would only purchase a new kitchen or fitted bedroom several times within their entire life and in the run-up to Christmas, these big-ticket items dropped massively on their priority list.


To overcome this, we took inspiration from the Harvey Nichols 2013 Christmas Campaign, ‘Sorry I Spent It On Myself’ which highlighted the aspect of treating yourself at Christmas time. This coincided with the various finance options which the business offers which meant that customers would only need to place a deposit in order to secure their dream kitchen or bedroom.

Subsequently, the brand wanted to ensure the customers which were enquiring were close to or ready to purchase. In order to achieve this, we explored the range of targeting options that are available on the Facebook Ad Platform and we identified several traits which were applicable for example Parents (All Ages).
