Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain your deep understanding of paid media including Google Ads, Microsoft Bing Ads and Facebook/Instagram Ads, ensuring you understand how each platform can be tailored to deliver ROI and positive commercial outcomes for our clients.
  • Oversee and ensure that ongoing account maintenance/optimisation activities are consistent with the goals of strategies and campaigns.
  • Ensure that all client reporting properly communicates goals and KPIs, effectively positioning key takeaways, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Live and breathe customer journeys, understand how we can leverage the data we collect to deliver results for our portfolio of clients.
  • Communicate & collaborate effectively and be someone that the team can turn to for strategic leadership and guidance.
  • Perform research, analyse data, and develop key insights and action plans based on campaign results and provide recommendations for budgetary and ROI adjustments
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new team members whilst managing our existing team of Digital Marketing Executives & Assistants to ensure they thrive in their roles and are well supported, both internally and externally.
  • Identify opportunities for stretching retained work and new business opportunities
  • Be accountable to the Founder/Director for all commercial targets.

What Does Success Look Like?

Understanding our client’s business

  • Be the person the client first calls with challenges, issues and new ideas. Develop and maintain a strong senior relationship. You must understand their business inside and out and be able to advise on the next steps.
  • Lead the agency team to deliver proactive upsells that are bespoke to your client’s needs.

Management and leadership

  • Ensure that our Account Managers understand exactly what is expected of them and conduct regular informal catch-ups and reviews to ensure they remain on track.
  • Motivate and encourage them to do a great job and to develop their skills and help them move on to the next level.
  • Be someone that the team can turn to for strategic leadership, problem-solving and guidance.
  • Foster team management skills including effective delegation; prioritising workloads and motivating others to be at their best.

Media Strategy

  • Ensure all media plans are approved and fit for purpose based on clients needs on a quarterly basis
  • Ensure that all client reporting properly communicates goals and KPIs, effectively positioning key takeaways, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Oversee and ensure that ongoing account maintenance/optimisation activities are consistent with the goals of strategies and campaigns.
  • Perform research, analyse data, and develop key insights and action plans based on campaign results and provide recommendations for budgetary and ROI adjustments
  • Maintain your deep understanding of paid and organic search/media including Google Ads, Microsoft Bing Ads and Facebook/Instagram Ads, ensuring you understand how each platform can be tailored to deliver ROI and positive commercial outcomes for our clients.

New Business

  • Work with the team to actively source and bring onboard new business opportunities (adapting creds as needed, leading in the creation of bespoke proposals based on needs)
  • Maintain The Good Marketer’s online presence and build recognition within the industry through regular award submissions, sourcing relevant awards to enter and working with our team to draft our submissions.

Project Management

  • Ensure processes are followed by the team and any barriers and issues are calmly resolved.
  • Identify gaps or areas for improvement in the process & proactively create fixes.

Financial Management

  • Take overall responsibility for all commercial elements of client work, ensure all projects are delivered to schedule and budget, ensuring profitability.
  • Ensure you are meeting with the team at regular intervals so they can flag comments and concerns that will affect success.
